Michael Hooker

Attorney

As a practicing attorney since 1985, Michael has served as fiduciary for hundreds of elders and disabled clients. He also counsels family members who serve as Trustee, Guardian, Power of Attorney, Executor or Conservator. Michael collaborates with numerous nursing homes in the area and works closely with many local elder agencies and providers. He is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and he has served on the ethics committees of several nursing homes. He writes a legal column for a local elder newspaper and has lectured on issues surrounding elder law. Michael earned his bachelor’s degree at the University at Buffalo, the State University of New York, and he earned his law degree at Suffolk University Law School in Boston. Michael lives in the Northampton area with his wife and has two children. His outside interests include photography, road and mountain biking, tennis, skiing and watching films. He is a versatile musician and leads his own rock band.
